[Philippines] Starbecks

Starbucks? No! It’s Starbecks!

This photo was taken more than a year ago near our home in Laguna, Philippines while we were on vacation. My husband was very surprised to see this so he took pictures of it. He thinks it’s really funny.

FYI, Starbecks is a small local restaurant and not a cofffee shop. 😛

[Philippines] Gongcha

My husband and I were surprised to see a Gong Cha store during our vacation in the Philippines. We were surprised not because we love Gong Cha, but because of the price^^ It’s very much cheaper than  in Korea.

So everytime we  went to SM, we usually pass by the Gong Cha store and buy 2 jumbo size drinks. hahaha. FYI, my husband and I only bought Gongcha in Korea twice. And we buy using discount coupons!2014-05-05 13.31.50

This jumbo size Chocolate milk tea costs only Php 95 (2,228 won), but here in Korea it costs 5,200 won(Php 221).

[Food] Boiled Bananas

image

One of things I miss about Philippines is eating boiled bananas.
There is particular kind of banana which is used for cooking, this banana is called “saba”. Saba is shorter but thicker than comercially sold bananas. Its skin is thick and hard. It can be
boiled or fried.

It was my husband’s first time to eat boiled bananas. He thinks that it’s weird to boil bananas. He said, “why boil it? Just eat it.”

ㅋㅋㅋ

[Photo] Omma Moments

I’m back from my 11-day vacation in the Philippines.

Belated Happy Mother’s day to all moms out there.^^

These photos were taken by my husband while we were in the Philippines. I wasn’t aware of this until I checked our dropbox files.

But I’m happy he did. And I’m proud to show to everyone that this is the real me. No make-up. No fancy dresses. No jewelries.

I’m comfortable going out just wearing a pair of short pants and plain white shirt, and without any make-up at all with a baby on my back. 😛
